Horizon Fingerless Crochet Mitts

Ideal for driving, or texting (but not both at once!), these fingerless mitts will keep your hand and wrists toasty without eliminating dexterity!

**Video tutorial coming soon!**

Mitts are made in a flat piece and seamed up the side when complete. The fphdc/bphdc ribbing goes along the top and bottom of the piece. The ribbing will be horizontal rather than vertical. Pattern is in 3 sizes. SM is presented first, with (MD and LG) in parentheses. SM will fit a teen-small adult. MD fits average adult female-small adult male. LG fits large female/average adult male.

Repeat row 4 until piece is 1″ short of desired length. Average measurement at this point would be: SM 5.5″, MD 6″, LG 7″.
Repeat rows 2&3.

There are two options for finishing the piece.
1: Either fasten off and leave a very long tail (12-18″) to whip stitch edge with right sides together or:
2: Turn work sideways, with right sides of work together, and yarn still attached. Slip stitch through back loops only for 2″ (2.5″, 3″). Slip stitch on one edge only for 1″(1.25″, 1.5″) to create thumb hole. Continue slip stitching through both edges in BLO until piece is finished.
Fasten off, weave in ends. Turn work right side out. Make second mitt. Wear and enjoy!
